Florence and the Machine | Take Care

I love me a good cover song. When an artist can take an already-established song and not only do it justice, but put their own special touch on it -- yeah, I eat it up.

I call it #coversofjustice

With this rendition by F+tM, I love their decision to take on an R&B song and pare it down to the keys and a soothing string section allowing Welch's rapid lyrical delivery (of the rap portion) and soulful vocal embellishment (of the sung portion) to shine at the forefront of the piece. The lady owns it.
