Half Moon Run | Call Me in the Afternoon

After writing about Polyenso on Thursday, one of my friends commented saying that they reminded him of the band Half Moon Run.

Unfamiliar with Half Moon Run, I took a listen...

...and have then had their album, Dark Eyes, on play all weekend. 

"Call Me in the Afternoon" is catchy and high-energy (do you see those high-knees?!) with a balanced blend of the ingredients that always reel me in:

• Killer harmonies
• An eerie minor key piano
• A driving drum part (though other times it's a drum part of subtle punctuation that does me in)

This song is a new addition to my Favorite Drum Songs, which will be this week's theme, so stay tuned! 

In the meantime, I leave you with one of my other personal Half Moon Run favorites, "She Wants to Know."
